The Person Project

Saturday, April 13, 2019

9:00 am EDT - 10:00 am EDT

Description

The Person Project was a one-day seminar that laid a foundational answer to the question, What is the human person?

To understand and cope with contemporary culture requires a unique interdisciplinary integration of philosophical, theological, and psychological accounts of human nature and experience.

Once we arrive at an objective understanding of human nature, we are better able to understand how human persons come to possess this nature for themselves—their body-soul-spirit, intellect, will, and heart—and then how these dimensions affect the unfolding of the human experience, and the human orientation to reality. This includes the development of human sexuality, as a multi-dimensional reality (spiritual-emotional-physical); the evolution of human freedom, and the necessary anthropological foundation for a fully integrated system of ethics; and the manifestation of the integrated totality of the human person in self-gift and love.
