To help Catholics in downtown Washington nourish their faith and share Christ with those they meet, the Catholic Information Center offers daily Mass, confession, and Eucharistic adoration in the Chapel of St. Josemaría Escrivá. The chapel remains open throughout the day as a quiet place for meditation and prayer before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

Chapel Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM
  • Sunday: CLOSED

Mass Times

  • Mass is celebrated weekdays at 12:05 PM.

Confessions

  • Confessions are heard before and after (but not during) the weekday Masses.

Adoration

  • The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration weekdays from 1-4 PM.

Rosary

  • The Rosary is prayed on the First Friday of each month after the 12:05 Mass.

Evenings of Recollection

  • Each month the CIC offers evenings of recollection for area men and women. The evenings include several short spiritual talks, Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, and an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
    • Men: 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm.
    • Women: 1st Thursday of the month at 6:00pm.
  • Note: The following evenings of recollection for women have been rescheduled:
    • The evening scheduled for May 1st will take place on May 8th
    • The evening scheduled for July 3rd will take place on July 10th
    • The evening scheduled for October 2nd will take place on October 9th
    • (The rescheduled evenings will begin at 6:00pm as usual.)

Spiritual Direction

  • Spiritual Direction with a priest is available by appointment.
